Strength training definitely deals with heavier weights to test your capability in a particular exercise. Anyone can perform or engage themselves in strength training.
Does strength training make you look huge?
Any type of training either strength or hypertrophy it would definitely deal with some amount of muscle building and muscle pump. It does not mean that it would make you huge. Training your muscles deals with damaging and re-building the muscles which lead to muscle building. But, the amount of muscle that is built is completely based on your diet and calorie intake. How to do strength training?
Strength training does not deal with a particular set of exercises. General exercises to train a particular muscle can be performed in strength training. But, primarily compound exercises can be performed in strength training because they can activate more than one muscle at a time. Strength training requires much energy to perform a session so, your diet also plays a very important role here. Performing compound exercises in strength training can save some energy so that you can perform at least one more rep. Strength training should be performed in a rep range of 4 - 6 (or) 3 - 8 with heavier weights. A proper warm-up and stretching before the session is a must in strength training because it is performed with heavier weights. So, a proper warm-up is necessary. Strength training can result in injury if it is done in the wrong form or also because of ego lifting. Each rep must be performed with much control and try to maintain tension on the muscle throughout the workout session.
