Reasons why you are not building muscle:

      Every one of us does not achieve our dream physique even though we feel that we follow a perfect plan towards our goal. In fitness, both building muscle and losing fat can be get diverted from your goal. This could happen when you start your fitness journey without proper knowledge about your path. You must be completely aware of your workout and nutrition to achieve your physique goals. Fat loss can easily be done if you follow a caloric deficit diet. But, muscle building is not like that. Many beginners set their goal to build a certain amount of muscle over some time and they do not achieve it due to a lack of knowledge about their journey. If you are not building muscle, that may be because of,




  • Not consuming enough protein:

     The major thing which matters in a muscle-building journey is that your total amount of protein intake per day.  If you want to maintain your fitness level you must consume 1g of protein to 1kg of your body weight.  But, if you want to build muscle your protein intake must be in a range of 2g - 2.5g to 1kg of your bodyweight.  For many people, this could be the major reason why they are not building muscles.



  • Not following a proper workout plan:

     Everyone's workout plan is unique.  Yes! everyone cannot follow a general workout schedule to build muscle.  Your workout plan depends on your body's response, recovery time, genetics, and so on.  Everyone must customize a unique workout plan which can suit them.  Training a particular muscle group at least 2 times per week will help you to build muscle.  So, you must customize your workout plan seeing that you can schedule training for all the muscle groups at least twice a week.

  • Training your muscles in the imperfect form:

     You must do a workout in perfect form to attain maximum contraction and relaxation without any injury.  Performing a workout in the wrong form could lead to serious muscle or bone injuries.  Injuries can be avoided only if you perform a workout in a most perfect and effective form.



  • Not training your legs:

     This could be a major setback in your muscle-building journey.  Your leg sessions incorporate 50% of your muscle growth.  According to a fact, training legs boost 30% of your body's testosterone hormone level which is indeed the most essential hormone for your overall muscle growth.  So, you must train your legs twice a week.

     These are some of the major reasons why you are not building muscles.  These are the primary reasons but, there are several many reasons which we shall see in future.  Correcting these small steps can help you to build a good amount of muscle over a period of time.
